The Chelsea Bazaar is a celebration of merchants and businesses from Chelsea and Greenwich Village, plus other New York City businesses from Brooklyn and Bronx, in one air-conditioned location, with sample tastes, raffles, giveaways, music, seminars and more. And it’s FREE. Particpating vendors include City Winery, Honey Cat Cosmetics, Chaos NY, PORTS Coffee & Tea, H.S. Chocolates, Lushcakez, Paisley Magic, plus raffles sponsored by TekServe for an iPad, iPod Touch and Beats Headphones. There’s also a ticketed lounge floor where you can enjoy a DJ from Sonic Sound, furniture from From the Source, beer tastings from Bitter & Esters (a Brooklyn Homebrew company) and Bronx Brewery, and live jazz sponsored by the New School for Jazz & Contemporary Music. Click here for tickets to the VIP Lounge. This indoor market is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 14th, in the Altman Building, 135 West 18th Street. Be sure you can prove you are 21+ for alcohol tastings at vendor tables and lounge areas; wristbands will be given out at the welcome table. This is the inaugural Chelsea Bazaar. The organizers hope to make it an annual event.
