Cross country bike riders competing in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London later this year will be competing at Windham Mountain June 28th to July 1st, when the World Cup series makes its only stop in the USA. Both US and international riders will be training and racing on the slopes, now that bikers and hikers have taken over Windham’s the slopes from winter’s skiers and snowboarders. Windham is the eighth stop on a tour that also has visited Houffalize, Begium and includes La Bresse, France; Val di Sole, Italy; Fort William, Britain; Mt. Sainte-Anne, Canada; Val d’Isere, France; and Hafjell, Norway. Click here for more information on riders and the specific race schedule. Windham is in the Catskills, around two hours from Times Square, depending on traffic.
