Oscar Statuette NYContheCheapThe envelope, please!  The Oscars are Sunday, February, 26th.  Instead of watching at home alone, be part of the Oscar party scene.  These are the NYCOTC picks for Oscar viewing parties –

Head to Tribeca for the viewing party at the 92 Y Tribeca.  The $10 fee includes one glass of champagne, plus entertainment, and food and drinks can be purchased separately.  The evening is hosted by film experts Eliot Glazer and Guilia Rozzi.  The 92 Y Tribeca Mainstage is at 200 Hudson Street.  Click here to purchase tickets online.  Doors open at 7:30 PM.

The Paley Center for Media is hosting its Oscar party on a theater-sized screen, and instead of watching commercials during the breaks, you’ll be enjoying the commentary and analysis of two New York Times experts,  film critic A.O Scott and media columnist David Carr.   Tickets are $30, and also include some food and drinks.    Click here for more information.  Tickets are available at the box office, 25 West 52nd St.
