Learn about NYC’s Dutch past in a free walking tour of lower Manhattan and the Bowery on Sunday, Nov. 21st.  East Village landmark explores St. Mark’s Church in-the-Bowery from its roots in the 17th-century, when the Big Apple was called New Amsterdam, to its current life as a church and performance space, including hosting annual readings of Allen Ginsberg’s Howl and the plays of experimental-theater guru Richard Foreman. The one hour tour begins at 1 p.m. and is available in both English and Dutch.  The FREE NYC walking tour is  part of 5 Dutch Days, an annual citywide celebration of New York’s Dutch heritage.
