Delta Airlines is upgrading its LaGuardia Airport terminal with a dozen new fine dining experiences, including a seafood restaurant with a raw bar and a wine bar featuring micro-brews selected by Brooklyn Brewery brewmaster Garrett Oliver. The new restaurants and cafes feature menus by famous New York City chefs including Michael Lomonaco of Porterhouse restaurant, and Andrew Carmellini of Locanda Verde. There also will be a French restaurant developed by chefs Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson, the dynamic duo behind Big Apple classics Balthazar, Pastis, Schiller’s and Minetta Tavern. Renovations to the Delta terminal at LaGuardia begin in mid-August, and will be done in phases, one or two restaurants and cafes at a time. Construction is expected to be done by summer 2011.
