Deal: Weekend Getaway to Philadelphia Marriott for $179 or Less

The Philadelphia Marriott Downtown is offering a “beat the heat” weekend discount that melts prices to $179 a night or less.  What makes this travel deal unusual is that Labor Day Weekend is included — hotels normally put holiday weekend on the black-out list.  Even better, the Saturday night rate drops to whatever the temperature is in the zipcode where the hotel is located  at 4 p.m. that day.  So, if the temperature in Philadelphia is 89 or 99 — that’s what your room rate is for Saturday night.  The Philadelphia Marriott Downtown is in the heart of the city.  The shops and restaurants along Market Street are right outside the door, and Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell are less than a ten-minute walk.  And be sure to get yourself a famous Philly cheesesteak during your visit.  I always take Amtrak between NYC and Philadelphia — 34th Street Station to 30th Street Station in under two hours.
