The Lincoln Center Concerts in the Parks is a summertime tradition in The Big Apple. This is a busy week of free outdoor concerts by the world famous New York Philharmonic. Grab a blanket, a picnic basket and your family or friends to hear the world’s best music in the world’s best parks in the world’s best city — for FREE — with at least one performance in each of New York City’s five boroughs. All performances begin at 8 p.m.
Tuesday, July 13 — Central Park — Works by Gershwin, Bernstein, Ravel, Tchaikovsky and Mozart
Wednesday, July 14 — Central Park — Featuring jazz legend Branford Marsalis on saxaphone
Thursday, July 15 – Cunningham Park, Queens – Works by Tchaikovsky, Bernstein and Prokofiev
Friday, July 16 – Prospect Park, Brooklyn — repeat of the Thursday program in Queens
Saturday, July 17 — CUNY Center for the Arts, Staten Island — Featuring the New York Philharmonic Brass and Percussion Ensemble.
Monday, July 19 — HOSTOS Center for the Arts and Culture, Bronx — Another rousing performance featuring the New York Philharmonic Brass and Percussion Ensemble.
