Fridays are for kids at the free River Flicks program in Hudson River Park. Here’s the July schedule:
- July 9th — The Wizard of Oz, the classic musical about Dorothy (Judy Garland) , The Scarecrow (Ray Bolger), The Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr) and The Tin Man heading off to see the Wizard, and the Wicked Witch of the West who tries to melt their plan. It’s a magical movie, no matter how many times you see it.
- July 16th — Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
- July 23rd — The Great Muppet Caper
- July 30th — Monsters vs. Aliens
The movies are shown outdoors, starting at 8:30 p.m., at Pier 46. Get there earlier for a good seat, and to enjoy a pink and blue sunset over the Hudson River. River Flicks for Kids is part of a full schedule of FREE events in Hudson River Park all summer.
