Dust off those dance shoes and take them to Damrosch Park in Lincoln Center for the annual outdoor music and dance festival called Midsummer Night Swing. A different international band or orchestra plays four nights a week for your listening and dancing pleasure. Mostly dancing. The temporary dance floor is crowded with couples swing dancing and lindy hopping, tango dancing, hip hop dancing, two-step dancing, salsa and merengue dancing — depending on the music, of course. Each evening begins with a free dance lesson by a professional dance instructor, to help turn your two left feet into the proper one left, one right. Midsummer Night Swing starts tonight, Tuesday, June 29th, through Saturday, July 17th, Tuesday through Saturday each week. The lesson is at 6:30 and included in the price of a ticket, which is $17. Or, buy a six-pack of tickets for $90 and avoid waiting on line any night. Dancing starts at 7:30.
