Every Friday night, The Pyramid Club turns back the clock to the 1980s. It’s a night of campy fun. Two rules — you have to dress in all-black, and you have to enjoy yourself, which shouldn’t be a problem at this popular Gay weekly party called 1984. Tonight’s event celebrates the Goth music of Bauhaus, Siouxsie and The Cure. That’s downstairs. Upstairs, DJ Chip Duckett keeps it light with Wham, Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, The Go-Gos, Men Without Hats & Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
The Pyramid Club is at 101 Avenue A, between 6th and 7th streets in the East Village. There’s an $8 cover charge, and the party is from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. Sample the music before you go. Here’s a video clip of Siouxie and The Banshees:
