Help NYC Fashion Industry Aid to Haiti

haiti-earthquakeThe fashion industry charity group Fashion Delivers will be donating new clothes, blankets, and accessories to the Haiti effort.  Fashion Delivers is asking for donations of new — not used – lightweight clothing suitable for the Caribbean climate of Haiti in all sizes, for children and adults.  That means t-shirts, tops, shirts, jeans, shorts, slacks, sportswear, active wear, etc. Plus, basics such as underwear, socks, sheets and throws or lightweight blankets.  Also needed are baseball caps, sneakers, sandals and sleepwear.   If you work for a company that has logo give-away t-shirts, caps and such, ask your boss to donate a carton or two to this program.  Donations are being accepted all week.

Check the Fashion Delivers website for a drop-off location, or email  carla@fashiondelivers.org or call 212-629-6700 for a drop-off location near you.  Give with your heart, but use your head.  Haiti charity frauds and scams have been popping up.  Do your research to be sure you donate only to legitimate charities.
