The Smithsonian Institution is offering free, hand-made holiday cards from the collections of the Archives of American Art, include images by Vincent Van Gogh and Alexander Calder. The free holiday eCard offer celebrates the exibit of portriature on view through January. 10, 2010 at the Reynolds Center for American Art and Portraiture in Washington, D.C., and the holidays, of course. There are nine eCard choices, including an Alexander Calder holiday card and a witty version of the famous Vincent Van Gogh oil painting of his Room at Arles ” now owned by Musée d’Orsay, Paris, where it is on display. You can send as many free eCards as you want.
