The national chain of crafts, gifts and art supplies stores, Michael’s, has opened a sprawling store on the Upper West Side in time for the holidays. And just about everything is on sale. Through December 5, picture frames are 40% off, and holiday wreaths, ribbons and other decorations are 50% off. Also, you can get 40% off any one regular priced item. Michael’s also carries toys, such as kids’ activity kits, yarn for knitting and crocheting, and supplies for scrapbooking.
Michael’s is at 808 Columbus Ave. at 100th Street.
